Found this too difficult to understand. Did not know what actions to take when leaks were found.
The product itself is ok, but not as good as some others. My complaint is with an unethical company that refuses to cancel my account and provide a refund. I was as supposed to get a 30 day prior notice of automatic renewal. Never received it, but did get a notification that my account was renewed and my credit card charged. Before the charge even went from pending to posted, I called and requested the account be cancelled and a refund be issued. The refund was refused based on a so called "no refund policy." Been getting alerts as expected about over-limit transactions. But today spent 25 minutes trying to chat with Aura support. Could not upload a .csv file -"unsupported file type". 1st "specialist" (after 'bot) "did not understand" my clear, repeated "cannot upload .csv file" She hung up the chat after I replied 3 times. Submitted 1 star rating, tried again. 2nd "specialist" requested detail. I provided error msg. She responded I should call support line, 8 AM to 9 PM. Submitted another 1 star rating. Called support line, (noon), was on hold waiting for "next available specialist" exactly 1 hr 5 sec, then call disconnected. Not 24/7 support! 1 1/2 hrs, no help.
I did the 14 day trail to give it a try, when I canceled on the 13th Day they charged me the $129.60. There tech support was no help. I would not recommend. Stay away if you like your hard earned money.
I started Aura, then I read a lot of Aura customer remarks for the past few months on their website, and most of the reviewers had a lot of problems. So I went to cancel my membership after only being a member for less than 10 minutes, and they charged my card, and said I will have a membership paid for until Nov 29th No refunds. That is card THEFT BY DECEPTION my mistake on taking other companies reviews a SCAM
Beware, they are not honoring the free trial. Began exploring a signup and one the first things they ask for is your credit card. They apparently bill it instantly. Once I got to the application stage where they were asking me for all my financial login info, I decided this was not a good idea and aborted the signup, yet I still was billed and they refuse to refund.
Check your math in the pricing info above regarding individual plans, Ultimate, Annually $240($30/month) should be $240($20/month), looks dumb.
I was attracted to Aura Identity Protection because it advertised 24/7 customer service. I live with my sister and called 8:00AM this morning to ask if the $22 month couple rate would cover myself and my sister. The person answering sounded like they were half asleep and had a heavy accent. She told me she would have to check and get back to me. I hung up. Seems to me Aura's 24/7 customer service is just another after business hours call center.
