DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Its policies include blatantly unfair business practices, such as retaining 75% of deposits if a move is cancelled, even with 58-120 days of notice. This means that no service whatever was provided by the company, but the customer forfeited most of their money. Judging by other reviews on other websites, overcharging is a way of life and company policy for this organization.
I had the worst experience ever. I hired AmeriSafe and gave them a large downpayment. I went over the inventory four times with staff. They told me everything was handled and we had a set price. The movers that they sent were horrible. They charged me $2,000 more on top of the $1,212.00 that I had already paid. They only moved furniture and none of my other things. It was supposed to be everything plus some packing. The moving company was careless, hostile and treated my things poorly. They even broke my Apartment door and left it. This was one of the most frustrating experiences we’ve had with a service provider. We waited weeks for our belongings with almost no communication, which forced us to spend a lot of money replacing items that were already ours but stuck in storage. The company talked a great game initially, but ultimately did very little to help us when it mattered.
This Vile company stole 7g of my money, breached the contract, lied and the salesman ghosted me. My furniture was severely damaged and never made it out of Florida. According to contract to use my CC was a 4% charge. they charged me 7% and then only refunded me 2%. Lied about taking "Postal Money Orders" for Final payment. After I just wrote a name on the money orders, Lauren who is a total con artist lied and said I could not change them. This company only wants Venmo or Cash. that is the first clue of a SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My parents used them to move from KS to MI. All this brokerage company did was steal money from 2 senior citizens. My parents belongings were damaged and so many boxes and tubs lost. How did they resolve it? They washed their hands of the entire situation and said deal with the moving company we sourced the work to - True Way Moving and Storage. What have they done? NOTHING! Submitted the claim 2 months ago and they have not emailed, called or even acknowledged they received the claim. This was and still is a nightmare for my parents.
Was shopping around for movers like any other person would do when I called them and asked basic questions. He gave me a quote and I asked for it to be emailed to me for my reference. He kept persisting that it's late (3 weeks before move date) and asking how many other estimates I had from other movers and pushing me to book with him now. I refused to give him details and stated if he didn't want to send me an email quote and I'm not going to book now. He called me "testy" and I hung up on him. I dodged a bullet. Do not recommend!
