There are great moving companies, unfortunately this is not one of them. They quote you a price over the phone wanting a 50% deposit immediately. Then they ghost you until 3 days before your estimated pickup date and raise your quote, now saying you will need more cubic ft space, (went from 1707 cubic ft to 1916 cubic ft) and raised my cost over $2,000. 12 hours before pickup they call and let you know what time they will be there to load. They showed up with a 26 ft truck that has a VIN plate attached to the truck that states max 1702 cubic ft. I made numerous attempts to contact Safe Ship but no answers or call backs. On top of all that the drivers states his truck can hold 2200 cubic...Read More

After my experience with Safe Ship Moving Services, I’m honestly stunned that ConsumersAdvocate could publish anything resembling a neutral or positive summary about this company. The assessment on their site feels so disconnected from reality that it makes me seriously question the reliability of the platform and whether they actually vet the companies they feature. Safe Ship is not a moving company at all — they are a broker that hands off your move to whoever will take it cheapest, then denies responsibility when everything goes wrong. Nothing in my experience resembled the reassuring tone ConsumersAdvocate uses. Their write-up mentions “customer satisfaction” and “friendly coordina...Read More

I had pleasure working with team that made my move easy and quick. Movers arrived for the pick up on time, they delivered my furniture on my desired delivery day, which is was October 30th. Movers Erik and David made delivery great and smooth, they unwrapped and places all my items to their places.

Be careful! SafeShip lies and promise the moon then recommend a carrier who had individuals with no clue how to protect personal property. We paid for full pack and ran around day of move packing as much as we could to prevent damage. Items were “packed” with no bubble wrap or wrapping paper. Glass vases placed in boxes with zero protection. Do not waste your time with these carpet baggers. They hide behind statement “any damage is paid by shipping carrier” to absolve themselves even though they recommended this carrier.

SAFESHIP sold me a bunch of bull. My entire shipping was contracted with a 2nd rate moving company that unloaded all my things in Los Angeles and repacked into another moving truck. During that process my diamond ring and father's WWII medal was stolen. They don't tell you about the subcontractor's ratings!!! Beware. Don't trust this company!!

We could not be more disappointed with our move. We hired full-service movers hoping to reduce stress, but instead, it tripled it. Major issues we encountered included: • Bait-and-switch pricing: We were given an unrealistically low quote based on a misleadingly small estimate of boxes, only to have costs increase later. • Damaged items: Many boxes were crushed, our expensive couch arrived filthy, and large items like our 55” TV, queen bed, and TV stand were destroyed. • Missing or incorrect items: Several boxes never arrived, a Dewalt drill set in its bag disappeared, and at delivery they even tried to hand us someone else’s dresser. • Property damage: They put a hole in our wall ...Read More

My experience with Safe Ship Moving Services was extremely disappointing, and I want to share it so others can make an informed decision. From the very beginning, communication and customer service were poor, and once they had my payment, it became nearly impossible to get clear answers. Most of the time, representatives had no idea where my belongings were. I was given the same vague line over and over: “you should get your stuff between Monday–Wednesday of next week.” Weeks passed with no delivery. I eventually had to research on my own and discovered that another company, Rigo’s Delivery, Moving and Storage, was the one actually handling my items. Here’s the timeline: my things w...Read More

Terrible communication between movers. It is a broker so the company that moves your belongings is not the company you initially do business with. With that said , customer service is non existent and moving company continually tries to tack on fees for every single thing they possibly can. Which in turn makes for very bad business as it is very shady. I would definitely not recommend or ever do business with this company ever again. If this had all went well I would have used them to move a 2600 square foot home which would have been good business for them. I do try to use veteran owned businesses but I would unfortunately not use them or recommend.

Our family needed to move within a month, so found Safe Ship online. The call was everything we wanted to hear. Veteran owned company, veterans would deliver our goods, and no issues with our timetable. On that initial call, my wife started to walk them through the house to detail all that would be moving. She was told that wasn’t necessary, they only needed to know the “big stuff.” We contracted with them to have the movers pack the house, asking if it was even possible to pack the house and the truck the same day, they assured us it was. 48 hours before our scheduled move, they wanted to do a video walkthrough of the house. It was then that they said we had more things that we originall...Read More

Also, avoid this company at all costs. For a whole house move we were quoted $25000, half up front, $6000 on pickup, and $6000 on delivery. We put this on a credit card, all seemed well. Upon pick up, we were not asked for payment, although we asked. I said we can put this the same card, right? and were told fine. The company safeship contracted, "Wayflower" did not show up on the agreed date but were a day late. The packing went well, although they did miss some items, about 3 loads in my Kia Sportage. Tomorrow is the day to be delivered to our new house, and we got a call that we need to pay the balance $12000 in cash, a cashier's check, or zelle. This is not at all the agreeme...Read More

We contracted with Safe Ship to move my son's furniture from our home to Virginia. The move was an unmitigated disaster. First, we had to call and call to get the furniture delivered in a timely manner. Then the furniture was destroyed by the Safe Ship movers. His dresser looks like a shark bit it. They lost his 55" TV which was in a huge box and two other boxes. Safe Ship delivered two boxes of other peoples stuff. Customer service is mediocre at best. Expect to spend hours on calls to get answers. My wife and I have moved many times and this was by far the worst moving experience ever. I highly recommend that YOU SHOULD NOT USE SAFE SHIP and if you do, you WERE WARNED.

Worst moving service in the USA. Rip Off...Beware Not veteran owned, so called they use that to make you feel safe. And if there is a veteran in the ownership they could care less about your move or the care of your possessions. We hade about 4-5 thousand dollars of damage to our goods and were offered $111 dollars. When we talked to Safe Ship they said it was the contractor moving company's fault. So if you are thinking about Safe Ship just know they take your money and then leave it up to you to resolve any issues. I am a veteran of 27 years in the Navy Submarines, and not just veterans they could care less about you or your family. I talked to Bianca from Safe Ship and she said it...Read More

When I first contacted Safe Ship moving in May, I felt comforted in the information I received. However, it was a false sense of security as I was left without my belongings for 6 days and I kept being transferred and put on hold whenever I contacted Safe Ship Moving Services. They charged me an expedited shipping fee with the understanding that I would receive my belongings on July 1. They never refunded me the expedited shipping fee (despite saying on the phone and in an email that they would). When I finally got my belongings (on July 6), I opened boxes and unwrapped my things to find them broken and/or damaged. They are misleading and unreliable, stay away!

Safe Ship - Do not do business with this company They are unreliable and the companies they assign to your moves are rude and crass. From beginning to end they were awful to deal with. For my move two companies were hired by Safe Ship (Oasis Moving based out of Las Vegas and then ABC Moving based out of Florida). The staff of Oasis (driver and helpers) at the pickup point insisted on me giving them a 5 star rating while onsite even before loading (standing over my shoulder in an intimidating way). They claimed for larger tips they would lie about the size of my move) They were extremely intimidating and rude. The delivery team from ABC moving wanted to deliver my load after dark in t...Read More

First, the company changed the date of pick-up, now it was 2 days earlier than originally decided. Then, the company showed up 2 hours earlier than originally communicated. Now, 22 DAYS LATER, no one can tell me where my household possessions are being held hostage!!! Are they on a truck? Are they in a storage facility? Absolute crickets from this company with NO ONE being willing to step up and find my possessions. Oh, did I mention I have a 2-year old, I'm in a new city, state and apartment WITH NO POSSESSIONS, and my husband reports for military duty TOMORROW!!! RUN and RUN FAST, spend the extra dollars to get a company that owns its mistakes and failings!!!!

Avoid this company at all costs — worst moving experience ever. I booked an interstate move through this broker, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. What they promised and what actually happened were two completely different things. • Unprofessional Movers: The moving crew they sent were late by a day, careless, completely unprofessional, and some men did not speak English making it difficult to communicate where items belong. Items were packed haphazardly, fragile items were tossed in with no protection, and boxes were crushed. They came out of the truck upside down. More of my items are ruined rather than intact. The majority of the pieces arrived damaged or broke...Read More

I would not use this company if they were the last moving company on earth. They are expensive, they take advantage of people, and they use contractors for the actual move. My elderly aunt (who has mental illness) was asked to put a deposit down 2 months before her move. Within 5 days of finding out she had put a deposit down & how much it was going to cost, I tried getting a refund (2 months BEFORE the moving date). I gave proof of partial ownership on both houses, power of attorney, and explained the illness and they refused to refund her the over $4k deposit. They couldn't give us an exact date to move until it "got closer", all they care about is the money. A local company that actu...Read More

Safe Ship Moving Services All in all our move went well. We did have one ceramic pot that was broken and another small pot that was damaged but everything else was delivered in good condition. New Mexico: The packers in that location were all very nice and courteous. They worked diligently all day to get us packed and loaded on the moving truck. There were 5 packers and the truck driver. Only 2 could speak English so that made it hard to communicate. Some things got packed that were supposed to stay with the house. But overall the day went smoothly. Do not I repeat do not use this moving company. I used them and have never had a worse experience. They tell you the cost of the move and then slowly the price moves up with this and that. I started at $9000.00 and finally when all was said and done I paid well over $14,000.00! In addition to the cost the service was terrible. I was suppose to have a semi truck to move me out of my house and ended up with three small trucks to be taken to the wharehouse where it would be put into a semitruck and brought to my new location. When the truck arrived 4 guys showed up to put the contents in the house; 2 had never moved anything and the driver stayed in the truck while they worked. They ...Read More

I am completely beyond frustrated. It has been 37 days since I stuff was picked up in Mississippi. It was supposed to take no more than 12/15 business days to bring it to Colorado. First no one at Safe Ship returns calls, or they put you on hold and never come back on the line. If I can finally get a hold of someone, they keep telling me you will have your stuff next week. I have left Gianna G. 2 unanswered voicemails. I got in contact with the moving company last Friday No Borders Moving and Storage and was told my things were in Texas and that I would have them this week. Today when I called, I was told my things were sitting in a storage facility in Jersey Village Texas. Now they claim...Read More

The experience was bad post signing the contract. Everything the Salesperson at Safe Ship said with their "Family-owned, veteran owned, and A+" was a lie given they contacted out to a company called Just Pro Moving. Just Pro was terrible. The drivers and staff were Russian and minimal English Skills. From leaving items in a "closed closet" and having to ship separately, sending an initial truck with a capacity 300 sqft less than the capacity I already PAID FOR, advising I WAS TO PAY even more despite knowing the estimates capacity needed (I had to fight this the day of...). Mr. William Jarosz of Safe Ship Moving Services plays the old bait-and-switch routine. He gave me a quote, and I paid a deposit. I found out later that the deposit I paid was actually a " broker fee". However, Mr. Jarosz isn't even a licensed broker in the state of Florida. I was provided with a signed broker payment authorization form that I did not even sign.....I am a special education teacher who is extremely upset with the treatment I received from this company. DO NOT USE THEM TO MOVE.

Although I felt comfortable with how I was treated by Safe Ship, the experience ended up horrid. The company that actually did my moving, Oasis Moving from Las Vegas, damaged almost every piece of furniture (I believe an end table came through fine, a dresser that is over 80 years old has a scratch, but not a big deal... broken legs, missing legs, a few pieces weren't even padded.) To make matters worse, it's taken 9 months to finally get Oasis to acknowledge that I have a claim, and they need to verify my address: the address they delivered to. The address that is on my claim form, AND the address that is on the multiple (+10) emails that I have sent that were NOT acknowledged in any way...Read More

When I first contacted them, everything went well. They quoted a price for what I had listed, and even gave me a military discount. The price was very reasonable...even less than I had hoped for. They indicated that price could change somewhat if the my list changed, or if the furniture was heavy or bulky. Fair enough. When it came nearer the move, I indicated a list change. They then added an additional monies for the change, bringing the total for the move to $5,333.22. Now it's getting into the neighborhood of what other movers would charge. I was informed that there could be an additional charge for heavy or bulky furniture. So, I figure an additional two or three hundred dollars woul...Read More
