Bait and Switch. Bought French Entry Doors from Andersen Renewal in late 2016. Paid $6,223. After a few months there were issues with the paint and they came out and repainted the doors. Called today about the paint peeling off the doors and were told my doors are Dial One doors and only have a 2 year warranty and not a 10 year warranty like Andersen doors. We had 21 windows replaced by Renewal by Andersen this past Friday. If “looks” tells the story, then I think we got a good job. I was really impressed with the caulk job around all the windows. Brandon and his team from Lexington and Josh and his team from Louisville did the installation. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Our house is 23 years old and for the last 17 years that we have lived here two of the three doors going onto the deck have not worked properly even to the point of one not even opening. I could write reams on how disappointed I am with this bad decision I have made using Anderson Windows, but I will let the pictures do the talking. The pictures will explain that when Anderson Windows advertised black windows, they are not black, just most of them is black.

The team that replaced our windows was very knowledgeable and polite. They answered all our questions along the process. Team lead Brian Berson explained how to use the windows and what not to do at the end of installation. Ben Lane and Grant Arment were helpful also answering any question we put to them.
This company does not stand behind their work. Many reputable companies will replace your doors or windows, save you money and aggregation. Please use them.

Just had windows replaced by Renewal by Anderson. Before the work was commenced the installers put down ground sheets through the entire house. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The installers, Ivan, Dylan and Conner, did a great job. They were very professional and worked well together as a team. When I had any questions they took the time to provide me an answer. When the work was completed they cleaned up all the debris inside and outside. Jim the project manager was very helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process.
I had a bay window installed. The height of the windows was 8 inches shorter than the windows replace. No mention of this was given prior to installation. Reduced the glass height by the 8 inches therefore less visibility. Finish coat on the seat was suspose to be 3 coats of semi gloss polyurethane. There was only one thin coat. I had to put three additional coats to have a smooth finish.
This company is talking advantage of a lot of people. They quoted us $131,000 to replace our windows. Offered us 20% off if we decided to buy them on the spot. You can get great windows for a lot less money. Don’t let this company rip you off. Many more great options for about 75% less. Don’t use this company!!
Very disappointed. Just wanted to replace our open-pocket sliding patio door with same and 4 windows on the front of the house. We were told building code would not allow for patio doors replacement and the best solution would be to install bifolding doors. Contacted the county building department who said we could replace with the same technology no problem. The issue was that Andersen doesn’t make pocket doors. It was 3 weeks before the project manager came to measure only to find out that we would totally not be happy with the look or function of the proposed doors. 3-12-23 Yes this is a total scam! My opinion is it's predatory lending and praying on the elderly. They came to my house yesterday, he gave me the price and lead time, and I respectfully asked him to leave, he never had the chance to negotiate. Basically they wanted 85k for 11 windows and 5 doors with a lead time of next fall?? 26-28 weeks, but the price is what got me. I built a 34X64 building with heat, insulation, bathroom and everything for less money!! Extremely overpriced and I've yet seen any reason to justify the price of this product, its just a normal window. Beware: I would never recommend this company, or branch in St. Paul, MN, which ironically is where Andersen Windows has its corporate headquarters. Only work with higher level folks if you are set on this company. Sales/design consultant, Jim Achartz, closed the sale, and became our enemy, not our advocate. He covers Stillwater MN and became creepy. He returned a call at 1:30 am to assure me that he would cancel our staining appointment of our newly installed windows! Who would do this? I am in complete shock. Jim provided a contact to call, Kathryn English, who left me a VM the next day that our stain appt had been cancelled. total rip off they told 103,000 thousand 31 windows in my home
Very pricy. Rep did not want to tell me price per window but my estimate was $35,700 for 9 windows and most are small. The company promised me a manager visit and the same rep came to my home, commenting this was his commission. The big discount promised was $3000…. I am in the process of calling other companies and feel that this business charges very unfair depending on who you get as a sales rep. I will never call them again.
BEWARE !!! Awful customer service. You installed an $8,000 dollar window with a damaged screen. We reached to our sales person Tiana who basically lied to us saying that she contacted customer service to replace the screen.
My husband was told there were no notes that Tiana called CS he was placed on hold for 10 minutes before he hung up.
We are so disappointed with this service, eight thousand dollars is a lot of money to be treated so bad,
SO thankful we did not give her the job for the next 5 windows being replaced.
I find myself same victim as "candicom". Original amount 5715. for 6 windows now finance comes and it is double. NOW 11496. for 6 and add financing 16500.00 FOR 6 WINDOWS - what a scam on the elder generation as I am in my 80's and that money is hard to come up with. ALERT! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Regretfully, they TOOK ADVANTAGE of my friend, an old man who had just barely recovered from a serious illness. I call it ELDER ABUSE. They presented him with one price, (almost) 5K for 2 doors, and when the job was done, they gave him their little screen for him to sign with his finger saying his signature was just to say the work was done. Later, when the poor guy looks at his financing docs he comes to find out that the total price they charged him was DOUBLE, almost 10K. For a $20+K patio door what a disappointment. The product is very good but the service has been a nightmare. Absolutely no oversight of the project. Our salesperson (Jared Johnson) was to be present for an install called the day before to say he had a wedding in Florida. Installers arrive on 8/20 with doors and only 1 of 2 screens and they don't know why.The installer was eager to get a prompt positive review (learned never to do this again). Door handles are loose and sloppy and appear to need a washer to fill the gap.

BEWARE!! If I could give no stars I would. Totally unprofessional, lies, refuses to give info, doesn't communicate. I ordered windows July 10th with a 9/9/21 install. I wasn't told until the day prior when I called that my windows were now on backorder. However initially was told the Fibrex material wasn't on backorder. Now I have a 11/8/21 install date and Terry Elliott, the Manager, refused to provide me a tracking number or delivery confirmation to prove windows are here for install. Terry changed his story 3 times stating my windows would be in November 3rd, then November 4th, then said they're still at the manufacturer and argued with me for 25 minutes.

We are all much aware of the supply issues due to the pandemic, but where we are very disappointed is in the courtesy service, honesty with delivery, quality of work from contractors that come measuring the windows, and making mistakes. Renewal By Anderson is a major & expensive windows company that continues to delay and fail with promised beyond the supply chain issues. Our current problem is a bad job done on about 25% percent of the order for which we paid 50% over 7 months ago over $18,000. It is also a labor issue - not parts. I would discourage anyone from buying Andersen 200 series windows for their home. I purchased over two dozen windows for my new home under the belief these windows would last and perform better than the competitors. After a little over 11 years, I have eight window sashes that are deteriorating. I contacted Andersen and they refuse to accept responsibility to replace them based on their warranty. They stated that "not all their windows come out of the factory with the same standards", therefore I am left responsible for replacing them at my cost. If you want to experience a company that DOESN'T care about their customers, go with Andersen: wrong windows ordered more than once, damaged windows, poor quality control, windows lost, endless re-ordering and delays, franchise manager yelling at you, uncaring and often unresponsive district manager, no response from corporate headquarters....severely lacking customer service and care. All in all, dealing with Andersen has been a NIGHTMARE! Go with Pella or Marvin.

I spent enough money to buy a car for a slider and windows and let me tell you I feel like I just got screwed.
